Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
We believe that all giving is an act of worship, not to be taken lightly or done casually. Giving a portion of one’s resources back to God is an affirmation of His ownership over all that we have (Psalm 24:1-2), a fitting response to His saving grace in our lives (Ephesians 2:8), and an acknowledgement that He is the provider of all that we need (Matthew 6:31-33). Worshippers at Grace have two alternatives for giving in support of the ministry of the church. The first is the traditional method; checks or cash deposited in an offering bowl or the offering box at a Sunday service, and the second is online giving using electronic means. This is called our CheerfulGive service. Both are personal, safe and secure.
What is CheerfulGive?
This is the process of giving to the work of Grace Community Church electronically. It is easy to use and is provided simply for the convenience of those accustomed to handling their financial transactions online. Users of CHEEERFULGIVE have three options by which secure, online giving can be made:
E-Check: This is an electronic debit to your bank account, as if you had written a physical check. This is the method we prefer that you use, as the processing fees the church incurs are the lowest. The banking information is provided online to the secure server directly by you. You may make onetime entries or recurring entries for regular planned giving (especially useful if you travel).
Debit Card: We know that many have adopted the use of debit cards for most of their purchases and/or payments. Therefore, as a convenient option to e-check, use of debit cards is also available. All card information is provided directly to the secure server directly by you. If you make entries that are to be recurring on a scheduled basis, we recommend you select the option to have your card information stored by the secure server.
Credit Card: Some may use credit cards as a convenient way to manage spending and reduce the number of payments they make each month – with one payment for the credit card balance monthly. However, we do not believe anyone should go into debt to facilitate their giving to Grace, as it will seriously impact one’s relationship with God (Proverbs 22:7). We therefore strongly urge you to avoid the use of a credit card to make a donation, unless you regularly pay off the credit card balance in full each month. Use of a credit card indicates your adherence to that stipulation. Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards are all accepted. All card information is provided directly to the secure server directly by you. If you make entries that are to be recurring on a scheduled basis, we recommend you select the option to have your card information stored by the secure server.
Mobile Giving: All of the above online choices are available in mobile device format on smart phones, iPads, and similar devices with a QR scan app. That will link you directly to the mobile giving page.
